As a Retail Electrician at HCS Electrical, you will play a crucial role in our commercial projects. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems to ensure they meet industry standards and safety regulations. Essential Functions

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial settings, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.
• Utilize advanced test equipment to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently.
• Interpret and apply information from code books and blueprints to execute projects accurately.
• Work collaboratively with project managers and other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to OSHA 30 and Confined Space certifications and protocols.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with industry advancements and safety standards.

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of electrical experience, with a focus on commercial projects.
• Valid electrical license for the state of Virginia.
• Proficiency in using advanced test equipment and code books.
• Physical ability to perform tasks that may include lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with blueprint reading, enhancing accuracy and efficiency in project execution.
• Previous experience working on commercial projects, particularly in settings like office buildings, retail centers, hospitals, and schools.

Location & Schedule

• Primary location: Chesapeake, VA
• Neighboring cities: Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk
• Schedule: Full-time, with the expectation of flexibility to meet project demands.
