Job Description:

Greenskies Solar is seeking experienced and entry-level solar panel installers for solar farm development and new construction projects in Casa Grande, AZ and surrounding areas. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, ensuring efficient and safe operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Install solar modules, panels, or support structures in accordance with building codes and standards.
2. Assemble solar modules, panels, or support structures, as specified.
3. Apply weather sealing to array, building, or structure.
4. Check electrical installation for proper wiring, polarity, grounding, or integrity of terminations.
5. Identify electrical, environmental, and safety hazards associated with photovoltaic (PV) installations.
6. Determine appropriate sizes, ratings, and locations for all system overcurrent devices, disconnect devices, grounding equipment, and surge suppression equipment.
7. Program, adjust, or configure inverters and controls for desired set points and operating modes.
8. Examine designs to determine current requirements for all parts of the photovoltaic (PV) system electrical circuit.

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Previous solar installation experience is a plus.
3. Knowledge of electrical wiring and basic carpentry.
4. Familiarity with safety protocols, first aid and CPR.
5. NABCEP certification is a plus but not required.

Requirements:

1. Ability to work in various weather conditions.
2. Ability to climb ladders, work on steep roofs and carry heavy loads.
3. Must have a clean driving record and valid driver license.
4. Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Knowledge of Specific Tools and Equipment:

1. Must have experience working with electrical and manual tools (screwdrivers, hammers, power drills, etc.)
2. Knowledge of using diagnostic equipment like multi-meters.
3. Understanding of solar panel systems and inverters.

Safety Requirements and Protocols:

1. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
2. Must wear personal protective equipment at all times.
3. Follow guidelines for safe lifting and carrying of heavy objects.
