Nexus Alarm & Suppression is looking for a talented Fire Sprinkler Designer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will design and implement advanced fire sprinkler systems, leveraging your expertise in hydraulic calculations. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in fire sprinkler system design and be skilled in using Revit or Autodesk for creating detailed 3D diagrams. This position provides a unique opportunity to broaden your knowledge in fire life safety systems, including clean agent suppression systems and designs for mission-critical facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop fire sprinkler systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards through hydraulic calculations.
• Participate in cross-training and support fire alarm and VESDA design initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with project teams to devise effective fire protection solutions for mission-critical environments.
• Produce comprehensive design plans and documentation utilizing Revit or Autodesk.
• Exhibit strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail throughout the design process.
• Clearly communicate design concepts and updates to team members, clients, and stakeholders.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in fire protection and life safety systems.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in fire sprinkler system design.
• Strong proficiency in hydraulic calculations.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with Revit or Autodesk for 3D design and documentation.
• NICET Level II certification is required (NICET Level III is a significant advantage).
• Openness to cross-train in fire alarm and VESDA design.
• Familiarity with aspirating smoke detection (VESDA) and clean agent suppression systems is a plus.
• Experience with mission-critical facilities is preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work full-time, Monday to Friday, with 8-hour shifts.
• Willingness to commute or relocate to Tempe, AZ (relocation assistance available).
