Key Responsibilities
- Install and terminate 480V 3-phase power distribution systems in accordance with industry standards.
- Perform precise conduit bending for complex industrial applications, ensuring compliance with local codes.
- Assist with VFD and motor control installations, providing technical support to senior electricians.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
- Use digital multimeters and meggars for testing electrical systems and components, ensuring their reliability.
- Maintain detailed maintenance logs, providing clear documentation of activities and findings.
- Assist with PLC cabinet assembly, ensuring proper wiring and component function.
- Follow confined space and elevated work procedures, adhering to safety protocols.
- Support production equipment installations, ensuring seamless integration into existing systems.
- Perform routine inspections of electrical systems in compliance with Boise’s regional electrical standards.
- Collaborate with local utility providers for power distribution projects specific to the Boise area.
- Engage in community outreach programs to promote electrical safety awareness in Boise and neighboring cities.
Required Qualifications
- OSHA-30 certification, demonstrating a commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to read and interpret industrial electrical blueprints and P&IDs, essential for accurate installations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of motor control circuits, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
- Experience with conduit bending machines up to 2”, ensuring precision in complex layouts.
- Proficiency with digital testing equipment, necessary for accurate diagnostics and maintenance.
- Strong mathematical skills for load calculations, critical for system design and safety.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely, adhering to best practices and safety guidelines.
- Understanding of industrial network infrastructure to support automated manufacturing systems.
- 1-3 years of experience required for Apprentice work in an industrial setting.
- Familiarity with Idaho’s electrical codes and regulations.
- Experience working in Boise’s manufacturing sector, with a focus on automated systems.
