The Electrical Foreman Position
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
As an Electrical Foreman at EV GO, your day-to-day tasks will include overseeing the installation and maintenance of EV charging stations, coordinating with project managers, and ensuring that all work complies with safety standards and project specifications. You will be responsible for leading a team of journeymen and apprentices, planning daily tasks, and ensuring that all team members adhere to safety protocols and project deadlines.

Core Electrical Foreman Responsibilities
Lead Field Operations
You will lead field operations for the installation and maintenance of EV charging stations. This includes ensuring compliance with project designs, safety standards, and deadlines, as well as overseeing the installation of crucial electrical systems such as service panels, transformers, and conduit systems.
Advanced Technical Duties
In addition to core responsibilities, you will perform advanced technical tasks such as complex conduit bending and routing, advanced troubleshooting using diagnostic tools, and implementing energy-efficient solutions for electrical systems. You’ll also work on regional projects specific to Southern California, adapting to unique environmental and regulatory challenges.
Safety Protocols
Safety is a top priority. You will conduct regular safety meetings, enforce stop work authority when necessary, and ensure that all team members adhere to established safety protocols. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized job site, which is crucial for preventing accidents and ensuring efficient operations.
Required Experience & Skills
Experience and Certifications
Candidates must possess a valid journeyman electrician certification from the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) and have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience as an Electrical Foreman. Additional certifications such as OSHA 30-hour and First Aid/CPR are preferred.
Technical Knowledge
We require extensive knowledge of the NEC and California Electric Code, with hands-on experience in EV charging station installations. You should be proficient in conduit bending, wire termination, and troubleshooting electrical systems.
Leadership and Communication
Strong leadership and communication skills are essential. You should have a proven ability to mentor apprentices and manage field teams effectively. A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are also required.
Tools & Equipment
Daily Tools
Our Electrical Foremen use a variety of tools daily, including multimeters, conduit benders, and wire strippers. You will need to provide your own personal hand tools, while the company will supply specialized equipment such as megohmmeters and testing devices.
Physical Requirements
Lifting Requirements
The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and work in physically demanding environments. You will be expected to work in various conditions, from outdoor job sites to confined indoor spaces, while wearing necessary safety gear such as hard hats, gloves, and safety glasses.

Compensation Package
Salary and Benefits
