## What You'll Do as an Apprentice Electrician

As an Apprentice Electrician at Bright Move Energy, you'll be a crucial part of our team working on exciting multi-year projects in Fullerton, CA, and surrounding areas such as Anaheim, Brea, Buena Park, and La Habra. Your main role will involve assisting in the installation and maintenance of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. You’ll gain hands-on experience, learn from skilled journeymen and foremen, and play a vital role in the future of sustainable energy solutions. 

## Your Daily Tasks as an Apprentice Electrician

### Assist in Installation and Maintenance

Your day will start by assisting journeymen and foremen with the installation and maintenance of EV charging stations. You'll ensure all tasks are completed in compliance with NEC and California Electric Code standards, providing a real-world application of your training and knowledge.

### Electrical Wiring and Conduit Work

Pulling and securing electrical wiring through conduits, trenches, and walls will be a regular part of your day. You’ll learn to ensure proper labeling and organization of these wires, which is essential for system efficiency and safety. Under supervision, you'll help with conduit bending (EMT, rigid) and installation, a critical skill in the field.

### Equipment Installation and Troubleshooting

You’ll assist in installing service panels, transformers, and EV charging equipment. Basic troubleshooting tasks and system testing under the guidance of licensed electricians will help you develop problem-solving skills and deepen your understanding of electrical systems.

### Site Maintenance and Safety

Maintaining cleanliness and organization on the job site is crucial. You'll be responsible for the proper storage of tools, materials, and equipment. Attending daily safety meetings and adhering to all workplace safety protocols is mandatory to ensure a safe work environment.

### Learning and Documentation

You'll learn and implement proper techniques for wire terminations, conduit layout, and electrical system components. Documenting daily work progress and reporting any safety or operational issues to supervisors is a key part of your role. Additionally, you’ll support team members in achieving project milestones and deadlines.

### Additional Daily Activities

- Assisting with load calculations and equipment specification checks.
- Participating in team briefings to understand project goals.
- Performing routine equipment checks to ensure functionality.

## What You Need to Be an Apprentice Electrician

To join our team as an Apprentice Electrician, you need a valid Electrical Trainee card from the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). A basic understanding of electrical systems, tools, and equipment is essential. Familiarity with the NEC and California Electric Code is a plus, as is a strong willingness to learn and develop skills under the supervision of experienced electricians. Reliable transportation to job sites across multiple locations is necessary. OSHA 10-hour certification and First Aid/CPR are preferred credentials. Physical stamina is important, as the job involves manual labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds and working on ladders or in confined spaces.
