Black Box Voice & Data is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Installer for our Phoenix, AZ location. This pivotal role will involve the installation and maintenance of advanced fire alarm systems in diverse corporate environments, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to innovative tech startups and secure financial institutions. With flexible working hours and a focus on safety, this position offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic 10+ person regional team catering to a variety of prestigious clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test fire alarm and detection systems in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Coordinate with clients to ensure system requirements are met and provide exceptional customer support.
• Diagnose issues with existing systems and perform necessary repairs and upgrades.
• Maintain detailed documentation of all installations and service activities.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient project completion and client satisfaction.
• Travel within a 30-mile radius of the Phoenix area to service client needs.

Required Qualifications

• 4-7 years of experience in fire alarm systems installation.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Factory certifications relevant to fire alarm systems.
• Proficient in using fire alarm panels, emergency communication systems, smoke detection, and mass notification tools.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

• NICET Level III certification.
• Advanced factory certifications.
• Familiarity with the unique regulatory and compliance landscape of the Arizona area.
