AVI SPL, a global leader in communications and audio-visual technology for over 40 years, is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Installer – Low Voltage for our Bellevue, WA location. As a Fire Alarm Installer, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems, including smoke detectors, sprinklers, and alarm systems in new construction and retrofits. This position requires extensive knowledge of low voltage systems, hands-on experience with fire alarm systems, and a strong commitment to safety.

Responsibilities:

1. Installation, programming, and maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems, including smoke detectors, sprinklers, and alarm systems in new constructions and retrofits.
2. Conduct regular testing and inspection of fire alarm systems to ensure these systems meet the Bellevue Fire Code and other relevant local regulations.
3. Troubleshoot a wide variety of fire alarm systems to identify and resolve issues promptly.
4. Work cooperatively with local fire department and inspection authorities, ensuring the systems meet respective codes and regulations.
5. Travel to surrounding areas for the completion of projects, as required.
6. Provide excellent customer service to our clients, ensuring their needs are met efficiently and effectively.
7. Adhere to all local and company safety protocols and best practices.
8. Keep abreast of latest fire alarm technologies and industry trends.

Qualifications:

• At least 4-7 years of experience in fire alarm installation, preferably in a commercial setting.
• NICET Level II Fire Alarm Systems certification or equivalent is required.
• Comprehensive knowledge of low voltage systems and local fire codes.
• Proficiency in using a variety of tools and equipment used in the installation, testing, and repair of fire alarm systems.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel to surrounding areas for project completion.
