Apprentice Electrician at Rogers Electric
Compensation: $20-25/hour based on experience
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday with occasional overtime opportunities
Locations: Various commercial and industrial sites across Georgia
Job Description:
We are looking for motivated Apprentice Electricians to join our team and grow their skills in the electrical trade. This position offers hands-on experience in commercial and industrial electrical work under the guidance of experienced Journeyman and Master Electricians. Ideal candidates will have a strong work ethic, a desire to learn, and a commitment to safety.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, including wiring, conduits, lighting, and panels
- Support senior electricians in reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical schematics
- Prepare and clean work areas, ensuring tools and materials are organized and readily available
- Perform basic troubleshooting of electrical systems under supervision
- Pull cables, install conduits, and mount electrical equipment
- Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Learn and apply industry standards and local electrical codes
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Enrolled in or willing to enroll in an accredited electrical apprenticeship program
- Strong interest in the electrical trade and a desire to build a career as an electrician
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and tools is a plus but not required
- Ability to work in various environments, including outdoor settings, heights, and confined spaces
- Must be physically fit to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks
- Valid Georgia driver’s license and reliable transportation
Tools & Equipment Expertise:
- Basic hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers)
- Power tools (drills, saws) under supervision
- Conduit bending tools
- Safety equipment (hard hats, gloves, safety glasses)
Nice to Have:
- Basic knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Experience in construction or general labor
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
