Position Overview
The PV System Controls Electrician at MMR Group will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of photovoltaic (PV) system controls. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient operation of solar power systems, contributing to renewable energy initiatives in the Augusta, GA area.
Essential Functions
- Install, maintain, and repair PV system control components, including inverters, controllers, and other electrical systems.
- Perform daily inspections and maintenance to ensure system efficiency and safety.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues related to PV systems and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with project teams to support the installation of new PV systems.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards during all project phases.
Required Qualifications
- 5-10 years of electrical experience, focusing on PV systems or similar fields.
- Valid electrical license for the state of Georgia.
- Relevant certifications and training in photovoltaic systems and controls.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and working at heights.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certifications specific to PV System Controls, such as NABCEP certification.
- Experience with advanced PV technologies and control systems.
- Proficiency with tools and equipment used in the PV System Controls Electrician trade.
Location & Schedule
- Primary location: Augusta, GA
- Neighboring cities include Evans, Martinez, North Augusta, and Aiken.
- Schedule: Full-time with potential for make-up shifts as required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $34.08-$43.29 per hour, commensurate with experience.
