Position Overview at Wisetel
As a Cable Technician at Wisetel, based in Smyrna, GA, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing cable systems specifically within healthcare facilities. This role involves working on projects in Smyrna and surrounding areas, ensuring that all installations meet the high standards required in healthcare environments. You will play a vital role in supporting the technological backbone of hospitals and clinics, providing reliable and efficient service.
Essential Functions for Cable Technician
- Install and configure cable systems in healthcare facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of cable networks to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with project teams to plan and execute installation strategies in various healthcare environments.
- Document all installations and repairs accurately.
- Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications for Cable Technician at Wisetel
- 2-5 years of experience in cable installation and maintenance.
- Required certification: BICSI Installer 2.
- Proficiency with Fiber Optic Tools and Punch Down Tools.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certification in Fiber Optics.
- Experience with Cable Management Systems.
- Specialized experience in healthcare facility projects.
- Proficiency with cable testing and diagnostic tools.
Location & Schedule
- Primary location: Smyrna, GA.
- Additional locations: Marietta, Atlanta, Sandy Springs, Roswell, Kennesaw.
- Schedule: Full-time, with occasional on-call duties.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $28.34-$33.5 per hour.
