Position Overview at Wisetel
Wisetel is seeking a skilled Cable Technician to join our team in Jackson, WY. This role primarily focuses on projects within educational institutions, ensuring the delivery of high-quality cable installations and maintenance services. The position requires regular travel to nearby cities to support various educational projects, contributing to the enhancement of learning environments through improved connectivity.
Essential Functions for Cable Technician
- Install, terminate, and test cabling systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of existing cabling infrastructure.
- Interpret project blueprints and technical drawings to execute installations accurately.
- Collaborate with project managers and educational staff to assess and fulfill cabling needs.
- Maintain detailed records of installations, tests, and repairs conducted.
Required Qualifications for Cable Technician at Wisetel
- 2-5 years of experience in cable installation and maintenance.
- Required certification: BICSI Technician.
- Proficiency with termination equipment and wire mapping tools.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certification: BICSI Installer 2.
- Advanced proficiency with termination equipment.
- Specialized experience working within educational institutions.
- Familiarity with advanced cabling tools and techniques.
Location & Schedule
- Primary location: Jackson, WY.
- Additional locations: Wilson, Teton Village, and Alpine.
- Schedule: Full-time, with occasional evening and weekend work to meet project deadlines.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $27.7-$32.43 per hour.
