Eskew Electric, a leading provider of integrated security solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Security Systems Technician to join our team in Jackson, WY. Situated near beautiful locations such as Teton Village, Wilson, and Alpine, Jackson offers a unique blend of natural beauty and vibrant community life. As a Security Technician, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive security systems for our clients in the Jackson area and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement enterprise-level security systems tailored to client needs in the Jackson area. This includes configuring IP camera networks with specific attention to VLANs and QoS settings. You will be responsible for programming access control databases and credential management systems, as well as installing and maintaining biometric security devices. The role requires configuring cloud-based security platforms and performing regular system health monitoring and maintenance. Integration of security systems with building automation systems is essential, along with implementing cybersecurity best practices for secure networks.

Maintain detailed system documentation and drawings, and provide comprehensive end-user training on system operation. You will also be tasked with adapting security solutions to meet the specific environmental and regulatory requirements in Wyoming. This includes addressing the challenges posed by the mountainous terrain and variable weather conditions of the region. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with local law enforcement for security incident management and ensuring compliance with Jackson’s zoning and safety regulations.

Required Qualifications

Must hold an ESA Level 1 certification and a CompTIA Security+ certification is preferred. Candidates should have demonstrated experience with enterprise video management systems and a strong understanding of IP networking and cybersecurity principles. Proficiency in access control database management and experience with biometric security systems are required. Familiarity with structured cabling standards and proven customer service skills are essential. A clean background check is mandatory, with the ability to obtain government clearance for certain projects.

Candidates should have 1-3 years of experience in security work within a commercial setting. Location-specific qualifications for Jackson include the ability to work in varied weather conditions, familiarity with local security regulations, and experience with high-altitude installations. A valid Wyoming driver’s license and willingness to travel to nearby locations such as Teton Village, Wilson, and Alpine for project needs are also required.
