Position Overview at Wisetel
As a Cable Technician at Wisetel, you will play a crucial role in supporting educational institutions throughout Greeley, CO, and the surrounding areas. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing cable systems to ensure seamless communication and connectivity in schools and universities.
Essential Functions for Cable Technician
- Install and maintain cable systems, including fiber optics, for educational institutions.
- Perform routine inspections and repairs on existing cable infrastructure.
- Collaborate with project managers and educational staff to design and implement customized cabling solutions.
- Utilize technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues.
- Document all work performed and maintain accurate records for project tracking.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Required Qualifications for Cable Technician at Wisetel
- 2-5 years of experience in cable installation and maintenance.
- Required certification: Fiber Optic Certification.
- Proficiency with Punch Down Tools and Cable Management Systems.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and climbing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certification: OSHA 10.
- Experience with Wire Mapping Tools.
- Specialized experience in educational institution projects.
- Proficiency in using various cabling tools and equipment.
Location & Schedule
- Primary location: Greeley, CO
- Additional locations: Fort Collins, Loveland, Windsor, Evans, and Longmont, CO.
- Schedule: Full-time
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $27.56-$32.54 per hour.
