WiLine is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Security Systems Specialist to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This role is pivotal in designing and implementing enterprise-level integrated security solutions for our clients across Charlotte and surrounding areas, including Concord, Gastonia, and Rock Hill. The successful candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of security infrastructure, including surveillance, access control, and intrusion detection systems. This position demands expertise in network architecture, cybersecurity, and system programming, with the ability to manage complex security projects and coordinate effectively with IT teams. The candidate must also be prepared to work outside regular hours to support critical security needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and maintain commercial security systems.
• Program access control and surveillance equipment.
• Configure IP camera networks and VLANs.
• Implement cybersecurity measures for security networks.
• Manage credential databases and coordinate with IT teams for network integration.
• Supervise installation of biometric devices.
• Perform system health monitoring and document system configurations.
• Train end users on security platforms and maintain detailed testing records.
• Integrate with building automation systems.
• Ensure compliance with North Carolina regional security regulations.
• Participate in the upcoming “Charlotte Smart City” project, focusing on advanced security integration.

Required Qualifications

• Security+ certification preferred.
• Extensive experience with VMS platforms and proven expertise in access control systems.
• Demonstrated ability with IP networking and advanced knowledge of cybersecurity protocols.
• Certification in security system programming, with strong IT and database management skills.
• Experience with enterprise security architecture.
• Clean background check required.
• 3-5 years of experience required for Journeyman work in a commercial setting.
• Familiarity with Charlotte’s local security standards and regulations.
• Eligibility for government clearance.
