Position Overview: Office Electrician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Office Electrician to join our team in Charlotte, NC. As an Office Electrician at HCS Electrical, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful completion of commercial electrical projects. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in office environments, as well as ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. Essential Functions

• Key Responsibilities for Commercial Projects:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components in commercial settings, including office buildings, retail centers, hospitals, and schools.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine electrical requirements.
  • Utilize advanced test equipment to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other construction professionals to ensure project timelines and goals are met.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of electrical systems to prevent potential issues.

• Required Certifications:

  • CA State Journeyman License
  • Arc Flash Safety Certification

• Experience With:

  • Advanced Test Equipment
  • Blueprint Reading
  • Code Books

• Typical Projects Include:

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of electrical experience, preferably in commercial environments.
• Valid electrical license for North Carolina.
• Proficiency in using advanced test equipment and reading blueprints.
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with electrical work, including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in the electrical industry.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with electrical code books and ensuring compliance with local and national regulations.
• Previous experience working on commercial projects, particularly in office or institutional settings.

Location & Schedule

• Primary Location: Charlotte, NC
• Neighboring Cities: The role will primarily be based in Charlotte, but candidates from nearby cities such as Concord, Gastonia, Huntersville, Kannapolis, and Matthews are encouraged to apply.
• Schedule: Full-time position with standard working hours. Occasional overtime may be required based on project needs.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $33.75 - $38.03 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
