What You’ll Do as an Audio Visual Technician
As an Audio Visual Technician at WiLine in McKinney, TX, you’ll be at the forefront of installing and maintaining state-of-the-art audio-visual systems in a variety of commercial settings. Your Daily Tasks as an Audio Visual Technician
Install and Set Up AV Systems
You’ll be responsible for installing and setting up audio-visual systems, which includes everything from projectors and monitors to speakers and microphones. You’ll work in diverse commercial environments, ensuring each component is perfectly positioned and fully operational.
Route and Terminate Low-Voltage Cabling
A crucial part of your job will be routing and terminating low-voltage cabling for AV components. You’ll ensure all cables are properly labeled and connected, providing a seamless user experience. This task requires meticulous attention to detail and knowledge of cabling standards.
Mount and Secure Equipment
Your day will often involve mounting and securing equipment such as displays, ceiling speakers, and wall control panels. Precision and accuracy are key, as you’ll ensure all components are securely and aesthetically integrated into the environment.
Perform On-Site System Testing
After installation, you’ll perform on-site system testing to verify sound quality, video clarity, and overall functionality. You’ll make necessary adjustments to ensure systems meet our high standards and client expectations.
Troubleshoot and Collaborate

What You Need to Be an Audio Visual Technician
Experience and Skills
- 3-5 years in the field as an Audio Visual Technician.
- Expertise in audio-visual installations, with a solid understanding of AV system components and connectivity standards.
- Proficiency in routing and terminating low-voltage cabling, with keen attention to detail in mounting and alignment.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
Must-Have Abilities
