Key Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll be designing and implementing fiber optic networks, ensuring everything runs smoothly from start to finish. You’ll dive into fusion splicing operations and conduct OTDR testing to make sure our installations are top-notch. Keeping detailed splice documentation is part of the gig, along with installing fiber distribution systems and configuring DWDM systems. You’ll also maintain fiber management systems and coordinate pathway installations, all while keeping your work environment tidy and efficient.

We’re gearing up for a large project in McKinney, so your expertise will be crucial. Since we’re in Texas, you’ll need to be familiar with any state-specific requirements. You’ll also be involved in emergency restoration and training our junior technicians, helping them grow into their roles.

Required Qualifications

To join us, you’ll need an FOA certification and substantial experience with fusion splicing. Your proven expertise in OTDR testing and fiber management systems will be key, along with advanced knowledge of fiber types. We also require certification in multiple splice platforms and strong troubleshooting skills. Experience with documentation systems and emergency response is a must.

You’ll need 2-5 years of experience in a commercial setting, and any location-specific qualifications for McKinney will set you apart. We’re looking for someone who knows the area and can hit the ground running.
