What You’ll Do as an Apprentice Electrician

As an Apprentice Electrician at WiLine in Corpus Christi, TX, you’ll be stepping into a vital role on our team. Your primary role will involve supporting our licensed electricians in day-to-day tasks, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely. Your Daily Tasks as an Apprentice Electrician

Assist Licensed Electricians

Your main focus will be assisting licensed electricians with installing electrical systems in residential settings. This includes pulling and securing electrical cables through walls, attics, and crawl spaces. You’ll also be involved in the wiring of outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures.

Setting Up and Maintaining Job Sites

You’ll be responsible for setting up and maintaining tools and materials on job sites. This includes organizing and preparing work areas, ensuring all necessary tools are available, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. You’ll also mount electrical boxes and prepare conduit for wiring, following system plans closely.

Learning and Development

Shadowing experienced electricians will be a key part of your day. You’ll learn proper techniques and methods, helping you to develop your skills and understanding of electrical systems. This hands-on experience is invaluable for your growth in the trade.

Additional Daily Activities

• Labeling and organizing wires according to blueprints and system plans.
