Residential Solar Installer at Vision Technologies

You’ll be responsible for the hands-on installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, ensuring they are safe, efficient, and professionally executed.

Qualifications

• Must have a strong understanding of solar PV systems, mounting techniques, and basic electrical knowledge.
• Required experience with roof work, power tools, and conduit installation.
• NABCEP Associate certification preferred.
• OSHA-10 certification and fall protection certification required.
• Knowledge of NEC Article 690, basic electrical theory, and safety protocols essential.
• Comfortable working at heights and ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly.
• Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• 1-4 years of experience required for apprentice work in a solar setting.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Key Responsibilities

• Install residential solar systems with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
• Mount solar panels securely and efficiently, ensuring proper alignment and fit.
• Install racking systems according to design specifications and site conditions.
• Run conduit and pull wire as per electrical plans and guidelines.
• Assist with system commissioning, performing tests and checks to validate system functionality.
