Fire Alarm Technician at TR Group

We’re seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our team at TR Group in Chicago, IL. This role will require expertise in the installation, programming, and testing of fire alarm systems. Working knowledge of Notifier, Simplex, Edwards systems is mandatory. The successful candidate will be someone who can ensure that all fire safety systems are in excellent working condition and in compliance with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes. This role is based in Chicago, IL, but may also involve working in the neighboring cities of Evanston, Oak Park, and Cicero.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician.
• Expertise with Notifier, Simplex, Edwards systems.
• NICET Level II certification.
• Low voltage license.
• OSHA-30 certification.
• Proficient knowledge of NFPA 72, inspection procedures, and documentation.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Nice to Have

• Experience with wireless fire alarm systems.
• Familiarity with CAD software.
• Knowledge of local and state fire codes in Illinois.

Salary and Benefits
