Position Overview at Teleco

The Security Systems Tech will play a crucial role in installing, maintaining, and upgrading security systems for educational institutions in Los Alamitos, CA, and neighboring cities. The position requires close collaboration with clients to ensure their security needs are met with precision and efficiency.

Essential Functions for Security Systems Tech

• Install, service, and maintain electronic security systems, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on security systems to ensure optimal functionality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure system reliability.
• Collaborate with educational institutions to understand their security requirements and develop tailored solutions.
• Provide training and support to clients on the operation and features of their security systems.
• Document all work activities, including system configurations, maintenance tasks, and service reports.

Required Qualifications for Security Systems Tech at Teleco

• 2-5 years of experience in security systems installation and maintenance.
• Required certification: Genetec Certification.
• Experience with Lenel OnGuard and Genetec Security Center.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certification: Lenel Certification.
• Extensive experience with Lenel OnGuard systems.
• Specialized experience in educational institution security projects.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools used for security system installation and maintenance.

• Schedule: Full-time
