Position Overview at Teleco

The Data Center Cable Tech at Teleco will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of data center cabling systems in Laguna Hills, CA, and surrounding areas. This role involves working closely with project teams to ensure the successful implementation of cabling solutions that support the company’s high standards in office building environments.

Essential Functions for Data Center Cable Tech

• Install and maintain network cabling systems, including copper and fiber optic cables.
• Perform testing and troubleshooting of network connectivity issues.
• Collaborate with project managers to plan and execute cabling projects.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Document work completed and maintain accurate records of installations and repairs.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians and apprentices.

Required Qualifications for Data Center Cable Tech at Teleco

• 3-6 years of experience in data center cabling and installation.
• Required certification: Panduit Certification.
• Proficient in Panduit Cable Management and Corning Fiber Systems.
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certification: Corning Certification.
• Experience with CommScope Infrastructure.
• Specialized experience in large-scale office building projects.
• Proficiency with tools such as cable testers, fusion splicers, and OTDRs.

Location & Schedule

• Primary location: Laguna Hills, CA.
• Additional locations: Mission Viejo, Aliso Viejo, Lake Forest, and Irvine.
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend or evening work as required.

• Pay range: $29.88-$35.71 per hour.
