Position Overview at Tech Electronics

As a Security Systems Tech at Tech Electronics, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting security systems in office building projects across Milpitas, CA, and the surrounding areas. You will collaborate closely with project managers and clients to ensure systems are installed to meet specific security requirements and industry standards.

Essential Functions for Security Systems Tech

• Install, configure, and maintain security systems, including access control and surveillance systems, in office buildings.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and troubleshoot system issues to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with project teams to plan and execute installation projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.
• Provide technical support and training to clients on system operation and functionality.
• Document all work performed and maintain accurate records of system configurations and service activities.

Required Qualifications for Security Systems Tech at Tech Electronics

• 2-5 years of experience in security systems installation and maintenance.
• Required certification: AMAG Certification.
• Proficient in working with Lenel OnGuard and Genetec Security Center systems.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and work in various physical environments including climbing ladders and handling equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certification: Axis Certification.
• Experience with AMAG Symmetry systems.
• Demonstrated expertise in advanced security system troubleshooting.
• Proficient in using hand and power tools relevant to security system installation and maintenance.

Location & Schedule

• Primary location: Milpitas, CA.
• Additional locations: Fremont, San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale.
• Schedule: Full-time, with potential for occasional evening or weekend work based on project needs.

• Pay range: $31.43-$36.77 per hour.
