Position Overview at Tech Electronics
The Low Voltage Cable Technician will play a critical role in installing and maintaining low voltage systems in healthcare facilities across Pinedale, WY, and surrounding areas. This position requires a keen understanding of healthcare environments and the ability to work collaboratively with other technicians and facility staff to ensure systems are installed safely and efficiently.
Essential Functions for Low Voltage Cable Technician
- Install, terminate, and test low voltage cables, including fiber optics, in healthcare facilities.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of cable systems.
- Collaborate with project managers and other technicians to ensure timely project completion.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations and service work.
- Adhere to industry standards and safety protocols during all installations.
Required Qualifications for Low Voltage Cable Technician at Tech Electronics
- 2-4 years of experience in low voltage cabling.
- Required certification: BICSI Technician.
- Proficiency with cable testers and fiber optic tools.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certification: BICSI Installer 2.
- Advanced experience with cable testers and troubleshooting.
- Specialized experience in healthcare facility installations.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools relevant to low voltage cabling.
Location & Schedule
- Primary location: Pinedale, WY.
- Additional locations: Marbleton, Big Piney, Boulder, Daniel.
- Schedule: Full-time, with potential for overtime based on project needs.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $26.56-$33.07 per hour.
