Position Overview
The Fire Alarm Tech at Tech Electronics will play a critical role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems, with a focus on educational institutions in the Westlake Village, CA area. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong technical background to ensure compliance with safety regulations and deliver high-quality service to our clients.
Essential Functions
- Install, program, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems in educational institutions.
- Conduct regular maintenance and inspections to ensure systems are operational and compliant with codes.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Provide technical support and training to clients on system operation.
- Document all service activities and maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Stay updated on industry standards and advancements in fire alarm technologies.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in fire alarm systems installation and maintenance.
- Required certification: Simplex 4100 Certification.
- Experience with Edwards EST Systems and Notifier Systems.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certification: OSHA 10.
- Advanced experience with Edwards EST Systems.
- Specialized experience in educational institution projects.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools used in fire alarm system installation and repair.
Location & Schedule
- Primary location: Westlake Village, CA.
- Schedule: Full-time, with the potential for occasional overtime or on-call work as projects require.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $27.41-$33.81 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
