Position Overview

The Residential Journeyman Electrician at TEC Electric will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential settings. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong commitment to safety and customer service who can work both independently and as part of a team.

Essential Functions

• Install, maintain, and repair residential electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and electrical panels.
• Perform routine inspections and testing of electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Diagnose electrical issues using appropriate testing devices and provide effective solutions.
• Collaborate with contractors, architects, and clients to plan and execute electrical projects.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with local and national electrical codes.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry advancements and safety protocols.

Required Qualifications

• 4-8 years of electrical experience in residential settings.
• Valid electrical license for South Carolina.
• Required certifications such as OSHA 10 or 30, CPR/First Aid, etc.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong knowledge of safety practices and procedures in electrical work.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certifications relevant to the Residential Journeyman Electrician role.
• Experience with smart home technology installation and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in using tools and equipment specific to the Residential Journeyman Electrician trade.

Location & Schedule

• Primary location: Myrtle Beach, SC
• Nearby cities: North Myrtle Beach, Conway, Surfside Beach, and Little River.
• Schedule: Full-time, with the possibility of make-up shifts as needed to accommodate project timelines and client needs.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $34.19-$49.49 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
