Role Overview

As a Commercial Cable Technician at Helix Electric in Myrtle Beach, SC, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful installation and maintenance of cable systems for various commercial projects. Your expertise will support our mission to provide top-tier electrical solutions that are both reliable and efficient. In this role, you will work closely with a team of skilled electricians and technicians to deliver projects on time and within budget, while adhering to the highest safety standards.

Essential Functions

• Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, test, and maintain cable systems for commercial projects including office buildings, retail centers, hospitals, and schools.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate installation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cable systems.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures.

• Required Certifications:

  • OSHA 10
  • BICSI

• Experience with:

  • OSHA 10
  • First Aid/CPR
  • BICSI

• Typical Projects:

  • Schools

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of electrical experience, preferably in a commercial setting.
• Valid electrical license for South Carolina.
• Proven experience with OSHA 10 and First Aid/CPR certifications.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, which may include lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with BICSI certification is highly desirable.
• Previous experience working on commercial projects is a plus.

Location & Schedule

• Primary Location: Myrtle Beach, SC
• Neighboring Cities: North Myrtle Beach, Conway, Surfside Beach, and Garden City
• Schedule: Full-time position with regular working hours, occasional overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $23.34-$26.31 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
