Overview of Retail Junior Project Manager Role

As a Retail Junior Project Manager at TEC Electric, you will be an integral part of our project management team, specifically focusing on commercial environments. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your project management skills while working on a variety of impactful projects. You will assist in planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. Your role will involve coordinating team members, contractors, and clients to deliver projects that meet our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Essential Functions

• Project Coordination: Assist in the planning, execution, and closing of commercial electrical projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
• Code Analysis and Estimating Tools: Utilize code analysis and estimating tools to support accurate project planning and execution.
• Project Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, reports, and budgets.
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve project issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all projects adhere to industry standards and safety regulations.
• Communication: Provide regular updates to project stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with project goals.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 0-2 years of electrical experience, preferably in a commercial setting.
• Licensing: Valid electrical license for the state of Georgia.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in code analysis and estimating tools.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks related to electrical project management, including site visits and inspections.
• Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations in the electrical industry.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: CAPM certification is highly desirable.
• Software Proficiency: Experience with project management software such as MS Project or Primavera.
• Commercial Experience: Prior experience working on commercial projects, including office buildings, retail centers, hospitals, or schools.

Location & Schedule

• Primary Location: Columbus, GA, with projects primarily situated in this region.
• Neighboring Cities: The position may involve travel to neighboring cities such as Phenix City, AL; Fort Benning South, GA; and Cusseta, GA, which are in close proximity to Columbus.
• Schedule: This is a full-time position, requiring flexibility to meet project demands and deadlines.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $25.50 - $33.56 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
