The Electrician Position
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
As an Electrician at Staley Technologies, your day will be filled with diverse tasks that keep our operations running smoothly. You’ll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and upgrading electrical systems across various commercial and industrial sites. Your role will involve both hands-on work and supervisory duties, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely.

Core Electrician Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain commercial electrical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Bend and install EMT and rigid conduit with precision and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot electrical circuits using multimeters and other diagnostic tools.
- Wire and test advanced lighting control systems, enhancing energy efficiency.
- Replace and upgrade switchgear and install transformers to support modern electrical demands.
- Oversee and mentor apprentices, fostering a culture of safety and learning on job sites.
Advanced Technical Duties
- Design and implement complex electrical schematics for specialized projects.
- Conduct energy audits and recommend system upgrades to improve efficiency.
- Integrate renewable energy sources into existing electrical systems.
- Ensure compliance with local and regional electrical codes and standards.
Safety Protocols
Safety is our top priority, and you’ll be expected to adhere to rigorous safety protocols, including regular safety meetings, PPE usage, and emergency response drills.
Required Experience & Skills
Essential Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Electrician, preferably in commercial settings.
- Proficiency with conduit benders, power tools, and advanced diagnostic equipment.
Certifications and Technical Knowledge
- Journeyman Electrician Certification or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge of NEC codes and local electrical regulations.
- Experience with lighting control systems and energy management technologies.
- Leadership skills to effectively mentor and guide apprentices.
Tools & Equipment
Daily Tools
- Multimeters, conduit benders, and wire strippers are essential tools used daily.
- Personal hand tools, including pliers, screwdrivers, and testers, are required.

Physical Requirements
Lifting and Working Conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and work in confined spaces.
