Position Overview

Staley Technologies is seeking a dedicated Data Center Rack & Stack Technician to join our team in New York, NY. This critical role involves deploying and maintaining the physical infrastructure of enterprise data centers across cloud providers, financial institutions, and technology companies. You will be an integral part of a specialized team that ensures high-performance, reliability, and scalability in one of the most dynamic markets in the world.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain rack and stack equipment, including servers, storage devices, and network components.
• Implement and maintain rigorous cable management systems to optimize data center efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Perform routine environmental monitoring to ensure optimal operating conditions.
• Utilize Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) software for inventory management and capacity planning.
• Collaborate with team members and clients to execute projects efficiently and within specifications.
• Regularly travel to nearby major cities for off-site installations and maintenance as required.

Required Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in data center operations or a similar role.
• CDCDP and DCCA certifications.
• Proficiency with cable management systems, environmental monitoring, and PDUs.
• Familiarity with enterprise-level DCIM software solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional CDCP certification is highly desirable.
• Experience working in New York’s fast-paced data center environments.
• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a 3-5 person team.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interface with diverse clientele.
