Controls Technician at Prime Partners

Join the team at Prime Partners as a Controls Technician, where you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and efficiency of our control systems. This role requires an expert in PLC programming and HMI development, with a strong understanding of industrial networking protocols. You will bring to the table your experience with VFDs, instrumentation, and SCADA systems. The ideal candidate has an Associates/Technical degree, vendor certifications (Rockwell, Siemens), and OSHA-30. Knowledge of AutoCAD, troubleshooting control systems, and documentation is essential.

Location

This full-time role is based in the bustling city of New York, NY. The proximity to neighboring cities such as Jersey City, Newark, Hoboken, and Yonkers make for a convenient commute.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Controls Technician
• Expertise in PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens)
• Proficiency in HMI development
• Solid understanding of industrial networking protocols
• Demonstrable experience with VFDs, instrumentation, and SCADA systems
• Associates/Technical degree in a relevant field
• Vendor certifications from Rockwell, Siemens
• OSHA-30 certification

Nice-to-Have Experience

• Knowledge of AutoCAD
• Experience troubleshooting control systems
• Proven ability to document processes and systems
