Position Overview

Staley Technologies is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Data Center Cable Technician to join our team in Sterling, VA. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our enterprise data centers, which serve leading cloud providers, financial institutions, and technology companies. As a part of a specialized 3-5 person team, the ideal candidate will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on work and contribute to the technological advancement of our facilities. This position includes regular travel to nearby major cities to support expanding operations and client needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test data center cabling including fiber optics and copper systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of cable systems using PDUs and cable management tools.
• Collaborate with team members to execute large-scale deployment projects efficiently.
• Utilize DCIM software to track infrastructure changes and maintain accurate cable documentation.
• Ensure environmental monitoring practices are in place to maintain optimal data center operations.
• Adhere to safety and compliance standards while working within active data centers.

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in data center environments or similar industry settings.
• DCCA and CompTIA Server+ certifications.
• Proficiency in using cable management systems and understanding of data center infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications

• CDCP and CDCDP certifications.
• Familiarity with enterprise-level DCIM software.
• Experience in data centers serving financial or technology sectors.
