Data Center Cable Technician at Staley Technologies

Position Overview

Staley Technologies is seeking a dedicated Data Center Cable Technician to join our team in Salt Lake City, UT. This role is critical to maintaining the operational excellence of our edge data centers, which support telecom providers, content delivery networks, and IoT services. As part of our specialized team, you will work on the second shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, ensuring seamless connectivity and infrastructure reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test fiber optic and copper cables to meet industry standards.
• Maintain and troubleshoot environmental monitoring systems within data centers.
• Manage cable organization and documentation using advanced cable management systems.
• Collaborate with team members to execute data center infrastructure migrations and upgrades.
• Utilize DCIM software for monitoring and optimizing data center performance.
• Perform routine checks on Power Distribution Units (PDUs) and address any issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and participate in regular safety training sessions.

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in data center cabling and infrastructure.
• CDCP (Certified Data Center Professional) certification.
• CompTIA Server+ certification.
• Proficiency with environmental monitoring and cable management systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• DCCA (Data Center Certified Associate) certification.
• Advanced CDCP (Certified Data Center Professional) training.
• Experience working within the Salt Lake City market and understanding regional client needs.
