Data Center Cable Technician
Join Staley Technologies as a Data Center Cable Technician in Manassas, VA, where you’ll leverage your expertise to lead a team in ensuring top-notch cable management and network connectivity in our state-of-the-art colocation facility. This role is pivotal in supporting managed service providers, enterprise clients, and cloud service operations during the second shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. As a seasoned professional, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our data center infrastructure within a 30-mile travel radius of our Manassas base.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 4-6 technicians, ensuring efficient cable installation and maintenance.
- Oversee the implementation of cable management systems and DCIM software.
- Monitor and maintain PDUs and environmental monitoring systems to ensure optimal data center performance.
- Collaborate with enterprise clients and cloud service providers to troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues.
- Ensure all operations align with safety protocols and industry standards.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in data center cable management.
- Certifications: CDCP, DCCA.
- Proficiency in using cable management systems and DCIM software.
- Strong understanding of power distribution units and environmental monitoring tools.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience in managing small teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certifications: CompTIA Server+, CDCDP.
- Familiarity with local enterprise client needs and challenges.
- Experience working in a colocation facility environment.
