Requirements for Retail Apprentice Electrician

Key Responsibilities for Commercial Projects

• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial settings.
• Work under the supervision of licensed electricians to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents related to electrical work.
• Perform routine inspections and testing of electrical systems and components.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Support senior electricians in troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Required Certifications

• OSHA 10 certification
• First Aid/CPR certification

Experience and Skills

• 1-2 years of electrical experience in a commercial setting.
• Experience with hand tools (Klein, Knipex) and power tools (Milwaukee, DeWalt).

• Valid electrical license for the state of Virginia.
