Key Responsibilities

As a Security Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Installing and configuring security systems including cameras and access control
• Performing routine system maintenance and updates to ensure optimal performance
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues promptly
• Conducting site assessments for optimal equipment placement
• Managing system documentation and warranties
• Ensuring compliance with security protocols and safety standards
• Assisting with network integration of security devices
• Providing training to end-users to ensure effective use of security systems
• Coordinating with vendors for repairs or upgrades
• Participating in testing and commissioning of new systems
• Adhering to safety and installation standards at all times
• Maintaining inventory of equipment and materials
• Responding to service and emergency calls
• Preparing and submitting service reports and documentation
• Staying updated on the latest security measures and technologies
• Keeping in line with regional requirements for the state of South Carolina
• Participating in upcoming security technician projects in North Charleston and nearby cities

Required Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you should have:

• A basic understanding of security systems and networks
• The ability to read and follow technical manuals
• Proficiency with basic hand and power tools
• Strong problem-solving skills
