This entry-level position offers hands-on training and growth opportunities in the field of industrial electrical systems. As an apprentice, you will assist in the installation and maintenance of industrial electrical systems under the guidance of licensed electricians. You will gain exposure to various industrial projects and have the opportunity to work with high-voltage equipment, motor controls, PLCs, and automation systems.

Key Responsibilities

As an Industrial Electrician Apprentice, you will:

• Assist in the installation and maintenance of industrial electrical systems
• Learn to work with high-voltage equipment and machinery
• Support the team with material preparation and organization
• Help install and troubleshoot motor controls, PLCs, and automation systems
• Observe and practice interpreting technical diagrams and schematics
• Assist with conduit bending, wiring, and panel assembly
• Maintain a clean and safe job site
• Document learning progress and daily tasks
• Attend required training and apprenticeship classes
• Follow safety guidelines and protocols
• Participate in system testing and inspections
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors on project tasks
• Learn and adhere to regional requirements for Virginia
• Stay informed about upcoming industrial electrician projects in Chesterfield and the surrounding areas

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Enrollment in an apprenticeship program (preferred)
• Basic understanding of electrical concepts and safety protocols
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions
• Strong interest in industrial electrical systems
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Physical ability to handle tools and materials
• Attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset
• Reliable transportation and punctuality
• 0-3 years of experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of PLC programming and control systems (bonus)
• Basic understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
