The Security Tech Position
Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Technical Duties
- Install and configure IP cameras and advanced access control systems.
- Terminate low voltage cabling with precision and efficiency.
- Program and integrate basic to advanced access devices.
- Test and ensure robust system connectivity and functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex security equipment issues.
- Maintain comprehensive installation logs and documentation.
- Liaise with clients to demonstrate and educate them on system operations.
Advanced Technical Duties
- Conduct in-depth network security assessments.
- Implement cybersecurity measures for system protection.
- Design customized security solutions for high-risk environments.
- Manage large-scale security system deployments across multiple sites.
Regional Project Specifics
Our projects often involve working in diverse settings across Northern California, requiring travel to various sites to oversee installations and perform maintenance.

Required Experience & Skills
Essential Experience
- Minimum of 1-3 years as a Security Tech.
- Proven history of installing and maintaining security systems.
Essential Certifications
- Certified Security Project Manager (CSPM) is preferred.
- Network+ or equivalent networking certification.
Technical Knowledge
- Proficiency with IP camera systems and access control software.
- Familiarity with cable termination tools and techniques.
- Understanding of basic networking protocols and configurations.

- Multimeter, punch-down tool, and cable testers.
- Crimping tools and wire strippers.
