The Fire Alarm Tech position in San Ramon, CA, focuses on providing fire alarm system services to educational institutions in the area. This role involves installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. The technician will work closely with school administrators and facility managers in San Ramon and neighboring cities to deliver reliable fire safety solutions.
Essential Functions for Fire Alarm Tech
- Install and configure fire alarm systems in educational facilities.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of fire alarm systems.
- Diagnose and repair system malfunctions and faults.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members on system upgrades and modifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Document service and installation activities accurately.
Required Qualifications for Fire Alarm Tech at Convergint
- 2-4 years of experience in fire alarm systems.
- Required certification: Edwards EST Certification.
- Proficient with Simplex Systems and Edwards EST Systems.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certification: OSHA 10.
- Experience with Silent Knight Systems.
- Specialized experience in educational institution projects.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools related to the trade.
Location & Schedule
- Primary location: San Ramon, CA.
- Additional locations: Dublin, Pleasanton, Walnut Creek, Danville, and Livermore.
- Schedule: Full-time.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $26.82-$32.29 per hour.
