Overview of Office Cable Tech Role

As an Office Cable Tech at Priority Electrical Services, you will play a vital role in the setup and maintenance of cable infrastructure within commercial settings. Requirements for Office Cable Tech

Key Responsibilities for Commercial Projects

• Install, terminate, and test network cables in accordance with BICSI standards.
• Conduct site surveys to assess cabling requirements and develop installation plans.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and rectify network connectivity issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Collaborate with project managers and other technicians to ensure seamless project execution.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians as required.

Required Certifications and Skills

• BICSI Installer 2 certification is mandatory.
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Proficiency in using Network Testing Tools and Cable Certifiers, particularly Fluke DSX models.
• Strong understanding of BICSI standards and best practices.

Experience and Licenses

• 3-5 years of electrical experience, with a focus on commercial environments.
• Valid electrical license for the state of North Carolina.

• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Capable of standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.

Safety Knowledge

• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and regulations.

Preferred Experience

• Additional BICSI certifications are highly desirable.

Primary Location: Charlotte, NC

Neighboring Cities: Huntersville, Matthews, Mint Hill, Pineville, and Concord.

Schedule: Full-time, with the possibility of overtime based on project demands.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $22.77 - $25.82 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
