Voice & Data Technician at Prime Partners

Job Title: Voice & Data Technician Company: Prime Partners Location: Surprise, AZ

Prime Partners is seeking a highly skilled Voice & Data Technician to join our team. This role primarily involves working on new construction and big box retail projects in the electrical industry throughout Surprise, AZ and surrounding cities such as Glendale, Peoria, Sun City, and El Mirage.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair voice, data, and electronic communication systems.
2. Ensure proper routing and termination of data cables to maintain optimum network performance.
3. Perform testing and troubleshooting of voice and data systems.
4. Coordinate with the team to design and implement data and voice network infrastructures.
5. Maintain and manage inventory of necessary materials and equipment.
6. Ensure all installations and repairs meet industry standards and company requirements.
7. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
8. Provide on-site customer service and support.
9. Adhere to all safety and compliance regulations.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Voice & Data Technician, preferably in the electrical industry for commercial work.
3. Knowledge of telecommunication systems, data cabling, and network configurations.
4. Proficient in the use of various hand tools and testing equipment.
5. Ability to understand and interpret blueprints and schematics.
6. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong communication and customer service skills.
8. Must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation.
9. Must be willing to travel to various job sites within the designated area.

Physical Requirements:

This job requires the ability to perform tasks that involve physical labor for an extended period, including lifting, bending, and standing for long durations. The candidate should also be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
