Prime Partners is a leading company in the electrical industry with a strong focus on commercial work, new construction and big box retail. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Voice & Data Technician to join our dynamic team in Sierra Vista, AZ, and its bordering cities. This position is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of voice and data systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair voice, data and wireless communications systems.
2. Maintain and repair switches, routers, modems, and other network hardware.
3. Perform cable installations, hardware rack assemblies, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of voice and data systems.
4. Plan network installations by studying customer orders, plans, and technical specifications.
5. Maintain safe work environment by following codes, standards, and legal regulations.
6. Document network by labeling and routing equipment and cables; recording configuration diagrams and specifications.
7. Maintain customer rapport by listening to and resolving concerns; answering questions.

Qualifications:

1. High School diploma or equivalent required. An Associate’s degree in a related field is highly desirable.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in voice and data network cabling, with a focus on the electrical industry for commercial work.
3. Knowledge of industry standard cable specifications for voice and data networks.
4. Proficiency in using testing equipment and troubleshooting for voice and data networks.
5. Knowledge of local and national electrical codes.
6. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
8. Ability to work in various environments, such as cold and hot temperatures, dust, dirt, and noise.

Requirements:

1. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
2. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and crawl for extended periods.
3. Ability to work on ladders and in confined spaces.
4. Willingness to travel to job sites within and around Sierra Vista, AZ and bordering cities.
5. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
6. Ability to work independently and in a team.
7. Must be available for potential night and weekend work.
