Prime Partners, a leading electrical industry firm, is seeking a skilled Voice & Data Technician to join our team in Pomona, CA. The ideal candidate should be experienced in commercial work, primarily new construction and big box retail.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair voice, data, and electronic communications systems.
2. Inspect and service telecommunication devices in frequent intervals.
3. Perform tests and troubleshoot to diagnose and resolve voice and data equipment issues.
4. Establish voice and data networks by installing telecommunications equipment, routers, switches, multiplexers, cable trays, and alarm and fire-suppression systems.
5. Pull, route, or label CAT5 or CAT6 cable.
6. Install, terminate, test, label and document all fiber.
7. Test, locate, and repair equipment problems associated with trouble calls, and perform routine maintenance.
8. Verify service by testing circuits, equipment, and alarms; identify and correct problems.
9. Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
10. Participate in special projects as required.

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Voice & Data Technician, preferably in the electrical industry.
3. Proficient in new construction and big box retail commercial work.
4. Able to read commercial network installation plans.
5. Proficient in termination and testing of copper and fiber optic cables.
6. Knowledge of relevant tools, equipment, hardware, and software.
7. Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Requirements:

1. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly, and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
2. Must be able to climb ladders and work in tight spaces.
3. Must be willing to travel to surrounding cities such as Montclair, Chino, Diamond Bar, and San Dimas.
4. Must be available to work after hours and on weekends as needed.
5. Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
