About Prime Partners: Prime Partners is a leading company in the electrical industry that specializes in commercial work, primarily focusing on new construction and big box retail. We are in search of a reliable, detail-oriented Voice & Data Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in our operations by ensuring all our voice and data systems are installed and maintained in line with the highest industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation and maintenance of voice and data systems in commercial buildings and big box retail establishments.
2. Testing of newly installed or relocated equipment to ensure its functionality.
3. Troubleshoot and repair voice and data systems.
4. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and written reference material.
5. Perform routine maintenance on equipment, identifying any technical issues, and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
6. Collaborate with the team for larger projects and coordinate with other departments to ensure the smooth completion of projects.
7. Comply with all safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in a related field is preferred.
2. 2-3 years of experience as a Voice & Data Technician or in a similar role within the electrical industry.
3. Extensive knowledge of voice and data system installation, maintenance, and repair.
4. Ability to read and understand blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
5. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
7. Ability to lift heavy equipment and work on ladders or in tight spaces.
8. Must have a valid driver’s license, and willing to travel to surrounding cities.

Requirements:

1. Must have a working knowledge of industry-specific tools and equipment.
2. Should be able to demonstrate proficiency in the use of various testing and diagnostic tools.
3. Must have a good understanding of safety procedures.
4. Should be able to work flexibly to meet project deadlines.
5. Must be comfortable working in different weather conditions, as some work may be outdoors.
