Job Title: Voice & Data Technician

Overview: At Prime Partners, we are a leading electrical company specializing in commercial work and big box retail. We primarily focus on new construction projects. We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Voice & Data Technician to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair voice, data, and electronic security systems.
2. Manage cabling, routers, and adapters for communication systems and ensure that they are working optimally.
3. Conduct regular inspections of systems to determine necessary updates or repairs.
4. Provide technical assistance to customers, explaining details in a user-friendly manner.
5. Maintain accurate records of all service, repair, and installation activities.
6. Adhere to all safety norms and regulations of working.
7. Collaborate with the design and sales teams to evaluate or diagnose problems and recommend possible solutions.
8. Conduct system programming and prepare progress reports.
9. Work with the latest technologies such as fiber optics and voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP).

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in a related field is preferred.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role in the electrical industry.
3. Strong knowledge of voice, data, and video systems.
4. Proficient in using test equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
5. Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret complex technical information.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Must have a valid driver’s license.

Requirements:

1. Willingness to travel to surrounding cities which border Hayward, CA including San Leandro, Union City, Fremont, and Castro Valley.
2. Must be able to work under different weather conditions.
3. Ability to lift heavy objects and work in high places using ladders or lifts.
4. Must be available to work overtime and weekends, if necessary.
5. Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
