Job Description:

Prime Partners is seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems and be adept at installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
• Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Perform general electrical maintenance.
• Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
• Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
• Follow National Electrical Code (NEC) state and local building regulations.
• Perform circuit breaker corrective maintenance.
• Provide on-site customer service and support.
• Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring or equipment.
• Complete work orders and record material utilized on jobs.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician.
• Experience in residential, commercial, and industrial electrical systems.
• Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints.
• Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.
• Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician.

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel to job sites within Hayward and surrounding cities including Oakland, San Leandro, Union City, Fremont, and Castro Valley.
• Valid state Journeyman Electrician license.
• Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician.
• Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to follow blueprints and technical diagrams.
• Understanding of the NEC and local regulations.
• Must pass a drug screening and background check.
