Prime Partners is a leading electrical industry company with a specialization in commercial work, primarily focusing on new construction and big box retail. We are currently seeking a skilled Voice & Data Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of voice and data communication systems, with an ability to install, troubleshoot, and repair various types of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, test, and repair voice and data systems, including cabling, hardware, and software.
2. Perform routine maintenance on communication systems to ensure their optimal functionality.
3. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with voice and data communication systems.
4. Collaborate with the engineering team to understand the layout and plan for the installation of communication systems.
5. Stay updated with the latest advancements in communication technology and implement new systems as required.
6. Maintain strict adherence to safety procedures and guidelines.
7. Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
8. Prepare and maintain detailed records and reports of installations, inspections, maintenance, repair work, and failures.
9. Train and guide junior technicians, as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in related field preferred.
2. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Voice & Data Technician or similar role in the electrical industry.
3. Proficient knowledge of voice and data systems, including VoIP, telephony systems, and data network systems.
4. Strong understanding of electrical codes and OSHA safety procedures.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
6. Strong communication and customer service skills.
7. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.
8. Must be willing to travel to surrounding cities for job assignments.
9. Certification in data cabling, fiber optics, or similar field is a plus.
10. Must have a valid driver’s license.
