Job Description:

Prime Partners, a leading electrical industry company, is seeking a skilled Voice & Data Technician for our expanding operations in Chula Vista, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing voice and data systems in commercial environments, mainly focusing on new construction and big box retail.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair voice and data telecommunication systems.
• Handle installations of VOIP networks, telephone sets, and related telecom devices.
• Interpret and implement blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Perform cable pulling, cable termination, mounting of equipment, and routing of cables.
• Test and troubleshoot issues with network communication.
• Conduct thorough inspections of cable lines to ensure system is working efficiently.
• Coordinate with team members and other departments to ensure optimum functionality in all systems.
• Follow industry standards, local building codes, and safety procedures while performing tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Vocational training or apprenticeship in a related field is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of data and voice systems.
• Proficient in the use of testing devices and equipment.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical codes and industry standards.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and electrical diagrams.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be willing to travel to surrounding cities for work assignments.

Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to climb ladders and work in tight spaces when required.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and on-call as needed.
