Job Title: Journeyman Electrician Company: Prime Partners Location: Chula Vista, CA

Job Description: Prime Partners is seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team in Chula Vista, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical wiring systems in commercial and residential settings in Chula Vista and surrounding cities including San Diego, National City, Bonita, and Imperial Beach.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
2. Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
3. Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
4. Manage and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring or equipment.
5. Read blueprints or technical diagrams before doing work.
6. Explore energy efficient solutions and suggest appropriate upgrades.
7. Adhere strictly to local and state building regulations and codes.
8. Collaborate with team to identify and solve problems.
9. Ensure exceptional customer service and client satisfaction.
10. Maintain a clean and organized working environment.

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Completion of an electrician apprenticeship program followed by a journeyman level electrician course.
3. A valid Electrician State License in California.
4. Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Electrician.
5. Proven ability to read blueprints and schematics.
6. In-depth knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
7. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
8. Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.

Requirements:

1. Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints.
2. Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines pertaining to electrical works.
3. Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to handle pressure.
5. Good communications skills for dealing with clients and team members.
6. Availability for night shifts, weekends, and on-call emergency situations.
